The South Yarra-bound Village Roadshow director Graham Burke sold his four bedroom St Kilda sub-penthouse late last year.

The price has come through recently at $5.05 million for the eighth floor Esplanade complex apartment that cost Burke and wife Robyn $7.3 million when settled in 2007.

The couple bought the apartment off the plan from developer Max Beck, and had a hand in its interiors design through Stephen Jolson Architects.

It was a collaboration between Melbourne's highly-awarded Fender Katsalidis Architects and British-Italian minimalist architect, Claudio Silvestrin and Hecker Phelan & Guthrie.

Developed behind the Espy Hotel, it comes with an internal area of 538 square metres, plus two two terraces that take the space to 600 sqm.
