From resident room service to places where even the bathroom has a spectacular view, luxury living in New South Wales has been taken to a whole new level. The Urban.com.au database has over 1000 new apartment projects in Sydney alone, so we decided to take a look at some of the most lavish and opulent residences in the state.

#1 CASTLE RESIDENCES

The Candalepas Associates-designed Castle Residence apartments epitomise timeless design, featuring natural oak timbers and soft grey hues. Residents of the tower are also invited to utilise in-house catering, housekeeping and room service, as well as valet parking – for hotel-style living year-round. While the on-site dining offering consists of an elegant cocktail bar, modern brasserie and Henry’s Bread + Wine bar.


#2 60 BATHURST

60 Bathurst was Smart Design Studio’s winning design for the Sussex 286 Design Excellence Competition and will be an exciting new addition to the NSW skyline once completed. The 27-storey tower will feature 95 units, with 36 one-bedroom apartments selling out almost instantly despite being listed for $800,000 each. All apartments has been designed to reflect modern luxury with warm, chevron timber floors, smooth marble surfaces and carefully considered fixtures to ensure the spaces feel effortlessly elegant. Sparkling bronze mirrors and gold trims add a sense of opulence and grandeur, while spectacular bathroom views provide added luxury.

Located on the corner of Bathurst and Pitt Street, The Greenland Centre is set to become the tallest residential tower in Sydney once completed, reaching a towering height of 325m. Designed as a collaboration between BVN and Woods Bagot, the tower features 470 apartments and six penthouses across 67 levels, as well as many luxury lifestyle amenities including a wellness centre, resort-style sundeck, exclusive rooftop bar and residents lounge. The tower also includes a $25 million, five-floor creative hub featuring facilities for dance, theatre, music, film and visual art.

The Loftus Lane apartments located in the heart of the Quay Quarter Sydney precinct currently under development by AMP Capital, bring a new experience of modern living to the city of Sydney. The 106 boutique apartments will be surrounded by activated laneways and offer maximised views. At the base of the apartments, unique lanes precinct with heritage buildings and fine-grain retail will be created. They will also sit adjacent to the new Quay Quarter Tower and 10,000 square metres of retail, which will transform the Bridge and Alfred Street blocks with a heightened focus on community, sustainability and daring design. The Quay Quarter Sydney precinct features one acre of private and public open space.

#6 THE HARRINGTON COLLECTION

Set within a collection of boutique residences, The Harrington offers 58 grand residences including rooftop penthouses and sub-penthouses as well as two heritage Bakers Terraces Homes. The FJMT designed apartments feature walk-in wardrobes with powder rooms and shoe closets; open void cavity bifold doors for a great indoor-outdoor flow and expansive terrace dining with spectacular views to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Each room features herringbone timber flooring, Sub Zero/Wolf appliances and beautiful floor to ceiling window panes.


#7 NEW LIFE DARLING HARBOUR

New Life Darling Harbour features 200 residential apartments across 9 levels, as well as a lush central landscaped courtyard for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Each of the Architectus-designed terrace-style homes boasts stunning city skyline views, and gourmet kitchens featuring marble or Caesarstone benchtops and Miele appliances. The developer, TWT Property Group commissioned renowned artist Xia Hang to create artwork for the site’s laneway titled Memory Tree. The work is an intricate, kinetic lit, eight-metre-tall tree, inspired by the artist’s childhood love of animations.


#8 PARAGON OF PYRMONT

SJB-designed Paragon of Pyrmont features timeless, contemporary design, with an exterior that blends Nordic copper, bronze screening and floor to ceiling windows, adding opulence to the Pyrmont landscape. Each of the 31 homes on offer contains top-of-the-line Gaggenau appliances, polished concrete, Italian marble, timber flooring, streamlined ‘touch-activated’ cabinetry and private wine cellars. The apartments also include smart home automation, such as Bang & Olufsen 50” TVs which rise out of cabinets and activate a home entertainment system at the touch of a button. A communal rooftop terrace with built-in BBQ and kitchenette also provides a space for residents to connect, entertain and enjoy al fresco dining.
