OSK Property’s double win for Melbourne Square at Asia Pacific Property Awards
Congratulations are in order for the OSK Property, Cox Architecture, Carr, T.L.C and Sinclair Brook teams for an impressive double win at the 2019/20 Asia Pacific Property Awards. Urban.com.au reported on OSK Property’s nominations for their latest six-tower development Melbourne Square back in March this year, when the project was still in early stages of construction. The team were awarded best ‘Mixed-use Development’ and ‘Residential High-Rise Architecture’ at the ceremony held in Bangkok recently.
The $2.8 billion project was put under the scrutiny of 80 industry professionals, including members of the UK’s House of Lords – Lord Caithness, Lord Best, The Earl of Liverpool and Lord Thurso.
Previous winners of the prestigious awards include London’s iconic Kings Cross Gasworks, the Royal Academy of Music and Heathrow Airport.

Melbourne Square was selected due to the clever design approach to creating a truly integrated precinct, featuring public spaces available for community use, childcare facilities, hotel, residential, office and retail spaces.

Melbourne Square’s current status at a glance:
- The first stage (1,054 off-the-plan apartments) are 75% sold
- 19 apartments worth a total $32 million have been combined into 9 ‘super-homes’ as buyers purchase multiple properties within the complex
- New ‘Couture Series’ apartments have been released and will include 3, 4 and 5-bedroom configurations on levels 55 through 68
- Luxury penthouses have been built on levels 67 and 68, with the option to combine them into a 1,200 square metre retreat for a cool $25 million
- Construction on both towers is underway
- Multiplex has recently completed level 21 of the core, and level 15 of the slab, as well as extensive glazing on lower levels
- Melbourne Square’s public park is also under construction (due to open late 2019)
