Ray White auctioneer extraordinaire Tony Fountain dies

<p>The NSW Sheriff’s office has cancelled this week's scheduled auction of the Bondi hoarders home.</p>
<p>The solicitors for Waverley Council have received payment from the current occupants in satisfaction of the outstanding amount.</p>
<p>It is the third time the auction has been cancelled during the past three years.</p>
<p>The auction was set to be held on November 22 with $2 million plus hopes, based on previous price guides.</p>
<p>The Bobolas family’s notorious rubbish-ridden Californian bungalow last sold to Mary Bobolas in 1973 for $15,000.</p>
<p>There are currently five writs on title, totalling more than $248,000 worth of council clean-up charges and legal fees.</p>
<p>Ric Serrao, of Raine &amp; Horne Double Bay, had been enlisted again to market the 550 square metre property.</p>
<p>He issued 20 contracts.</p>
<p>The Boonara Avenue property was offered to buyers in 2016, but the auction was cancelled at the last minute when the family produced enough funds to pay off part of their debt to council for their continual clean-ups.</p>
<p>When it was listed in 2015, around 63 contracts were issued, but the Bobolas family again managed to come up with the money just hours before the auction.</p>

Bondi hoarders home pulled from auction

<p>The nation's cheapest weekend auction sale was a three bedroom house in Adelaide that fetched $273,102 which saw the final bids get down to $1 bids.</p>
<p>The auction of <a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/https://raywhitenorwood.com.au/properties/residential-for-sale/sa/parafield-gardens-5107/house/2127046" target="_blank">6 Miller Crescent, Parafield Gardens</a> had 18 registered parties with eight participating bidders.</p>
<p>The pre-auction price guide had been $199,000.</p>
<p>There was a $208,900 reserve for the modest original condition 1960s, three bedroom brick and tile home.</p>
<p>The contest saw the tiny $1 bids just before the hammer dropped at $273,102.</p>

<p>The auctioneer finally took $1 bids as potential buyers scraped the bottom of their pockets in an effort to secure the home.</p>

$1 higher bid secures Australia's cheapest weekend auction offering

<p>The 2.29 hectare property on Willawong Street in Young sold for $630,000 today.</p>
<p>The four-bedroom, two-bathroom house was auctioned by Ray White estate agent, David Coombes.</p>
<p>The nine-foot ceiling high house has reverse cycle air-conditioning and an open plan kitchen, dining and lounging area.</p>
<p>The property features a single garage, a 5,000 gallon water tank, an all fenced horse shelter, and ensuite bedrooms.</p>
<p>The acres are all fenced with a horse shelter which backs onto a natural creek line. </p>

<p>The 2,238 sqm parcel of land was listed by Elders real estate agent, Alastair Lias and Dean Costello. </p>
<p>The property fetched around the $900,000 mark according to Mr Lias. </p>
<p>Located in the Perricoota Run Estate, the home features full twin Toshiba reverse cycle air conditioning, underfloor Hydronic heating system which extends to the garage area. </p>
