Dawes Point topped the apartments list.
Point Piper was excluded from calculations as it did not see the sale of 10 or more houses, but it did rank third with apartments.
Darling Point house sales included a four bedroom at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-darling+point-124922942" target="_blank">14 Thornton Street</a> that fetched $7.06 million.

Darling Point had highest median value in CoreLogic's best list in 2017

Food blogger Stephanie Conley-Buhre and entrepreneur husband Oskar Buhre - who rank among Sydney's most stylish couples - have listed their Darling Point home.
The couple had Luigi Rosselli redesign the home on Eastbourne Road which sits in Will Danger gardens.
In 2008 Stephanie moved from fashion to food, and her food and entertaining blog 'The Hostess', where she shares her favourite recipes and entertaining tips.
Her first book, At Home With The Hostess, is being published in June.
Balancing Queen Anne period grace with contemporary style, the home across four levels has six bedrooms, five bathrooms.
There's also an 800 bottle wine cellar.
A solar heated swimming pool overlooks the level lawn.
Its grand foyer includes a glass ceiling feature and a sculptural Piranesi inspired stair winding and unwinding from the lower living room level to the upper attic.
There's also a quaint black and white marble-floored piano room.
It was the cover story in Belle's last edition given its lively fabric wallpapers, textured carpets, decorative matte wood floors, wall dado panels. Conley’s flair for design has lent the interiors an elegant and cosmopolitan air, and a Lacanche double oven from France takes pride of place in the kitchen.

Conely's eponymous fashion label was worn by the likes of Kim Cattrall, Naomi Campbell and Naomi Watts after its 2005 launch with her signature empire-line dresses, high-neck blouses, sailor pants, wool jackets and boleros. 
Critics said Conley fused old-style glamour with elegant femininity.
Conley is the daughter of the late Broken Hill-raised aviation pioneer and property investor, John Conley who bought the home in 1977 for $155,000.

Her younger husband Oskar Buhre is the CEO of E-Nome, which is developing a software solution to empower consumers with better access to their health records. He also runs his private advisory business Buhre Capital, which had dabbled in an institutional grade bitcoin exchange for spot and futures contracts.
Her sister the DJ Annie Conley was the $13 million buyer of the Tamarama home of pioneering fashion retailer Robbie Ingham and wife Sarah last year.
Conley sold her O'Sullivan Road home, a refurbished 1930s Prof Lesley Wilkinson home in Will Dangar gardens for $5,775,000.

Stylish Sydney couple list Darling Point home

The Darling Point home of Steve Duchen, of the rich lister pharmaceutical family, and wife Polly, remains listed for sale after its mid-September auction.
There were $8 million hopes for the three level home that the couple bought in 2013.
They paid $4.55 million when buying from former Racing NSW and Sydney Turf Club chairman Alan Brown and wife Belinda.
Set on a 415 square metre Darling Point Road parcel, the home features grand interiors, with dark oak floors and high ornate ceilings.
It has six bedrooms, a Boffi kitchen with Italian marble and landscaped terraces.
Ben Collier at The Agency was marketing the home which attracted no bids from the one registered bidder.
He passed in the Darling Road, Darling Point on a vendor bid of $7.9 million.
In 1996 Duchen purchased an 111-hectare property at Seven Mile Beach, outside Byron Bay on the far north coast, and with architect Phil McMaster developed it into the sustainable Linnaeus Estate.

The 1850s home, Darling Point’s Greenoaks Cottage has been listed with a $20 million price guide.
The five-bedroom home at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-darling+point-129646298">2E Greenoaks Avenue has been listed by the </a>K2 Recruitment owner Phil Kerry and his wife, Ann-Maree, the 1984 Olympic Games gymnast.

Greenoaks Cottage, Darling Point listed with $20 million hopes

Investment banker Paul Espie and his librarian wife, Roslyn have their Victorian Gothic-style trophy home, Callooa in Darling Point listed for sale.
There are no price indications just so-called industry expectations to speculate a very, very wide range of between $25 million and $30 million.
<a href="https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/heritageapp/HeritageItemImage.aspx?ID=2710095#ad-image-0" target="_blank">The 1850s-built home</a> was designed by architect Francis Clarke.
Its notable owners have included the first mayor of Sydney, John Hosking.
It was politician and barrister Harold Mason who changed the name to Callooa in the 1920s.
The property developer Rod Petricevic owned it in the mid-1980s.
Espie, the founder of Pacific Road Capital, bought it in late 1988 for $5.25 million.
Now forgotten or overlooked, there was high drama when a retaining wall was washed away in a landslide in 1998, followed by a dispute which was documented by the then independent local paper, the SMH.

Craigholme, another 1850s home on the Darling Point ridge line, failed to give price guidance when it didn't sell a few years back.
It was listed by the Allianz Australia chairman John Curtis who has since renovated again.
One of Darling Point's most beautiful homes, the Victorian Gothic Craigholme residence was designed by colonial architect Edmund Blacket seemingly for the family of then NSW Surveyor General, Sir Thomas Mitchell.
It last traded in 1993 for $1,615,000 when bought by the Curtis family from the Punch family.

The former stockbroker turned fund manager, Charlie Aitken is backing himself against the upmarket Sydney property market. 
Part of the sale proceeds of his <a href="/news/51461-march-13-stockbroker-turned-fund-manager-charlie-aitken-has-sold-his-darling-point-villa" target="_blank">$10.5 million Darling Point villa</a>, which settles next month, will be put into his $75 million fund, Aitken Investment Management, rather than back into bricks and mortar.
"It's all about backing myself and having a go," he told columnist Philip Baker at The Australian Financial Review.
"I think there is more money to be made in global stocks than there is in the Sydney property market and I'll back my fund over Australian residential property," he says. 
The fund manager Charlie Aitken and wife Ellie sold their Darling Point villa in March, some six months after it hit the market.
After the couple swapped agents, it was offered with revised $11 million hopes through Elliot Placks and Richard Carwin of Ray White Double Bay.
They secured around $10.5 million having bought the five bedroom house, now with Thomas Hamel interiors, for $6.95 million in 2008.
The Mediterranean-style property was bought from William Penfold, the last of the family members to head the country's oldest stationery company, WC Penfold.
The Eastbourne Avenue house sits in gardens designed by Paul Bangay.
It has been bought by emergency financier Tim Odillo Maher and his fashionista wife, Victoria Montano.

Charlie Aitken's punt on his fund, not Sydney property

Atherfield, the 1870 Darling Point residence of former Scottish and Newcastle Brewing CEO and Brambles director Tony Froggatt and his wife Christine, has been sold.
It was sold by Brad Pillinger at Pillinger Double Bay who recently secured the trophy home listing. It had previously been listed with <a href="/news/47366-gothic-revival-atherfield-darling-point-listing" target="_blank">more than $15 million when initially listed for sale</a>.
The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-darling+point-123667438" target="_blank">five bedroom gothic revival mansion</a> was first occupied by the Willis family, with an 1880s sketch by James Willis hanging in the Eastbourne Road home.

With harbour views from its 1150sqm grounds, it was last sold by Di O'Neal, the widow of the late St George Bank chief Ed O'Neal in 2002 to Froggart for $6 million.

The five-bedroom Gothic Revival Eastbourne Road property was sold in 2002 when Tony Froggart was heading the UK brewery, Scottish &amp; Newcastle, pubs division.
He then served as chief of Heineken UK Limited from May 2003 to November  2007 when he returned to Australia. 
Froggatt, who holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Queen Mary College, London and an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York, serves on the boards of Axa Australia and Brambles Ltd. 
It been home to who's who of leading businessmen including David Voss.

Atherfield, the 1870 Darling Point home, has sold

The lowkey millionaire property developer Nabil Gazal has bought on one of Sydney's finest harbourfront promenades spending $7.11 million on a Darling Point apartment.
The 305 sqm apartment in the exclusive L'amarre building extends over a whole floor of the New Beach Road block.
There's also whispers Ryan Stokes and his wife Claire Campbell have bought the nearby $16 million, 1910 Federation residence Rilworth as their matrimonial home overlooking Yarranabbe Park.
One of just four, the 305 sq m L'amarre apartment with limestone floors features a loggia with gun barrel views of the harbour.
There are three bedrooms, with the master wing comprising a private balcony and expansive walk in wardrobe.
1st City agent Julian Hasemer and Tom Murray sold the home after just five days on the market.
It previously belonged to businessman Michael Hayes, who had paid Star Wars producer Rick McCallum $6.7 million just a year earlier.
Gazal is still in good company in the Iain Halliday designed building.
New Zealand property tycoon Mark Wyborn bought into the block in 2014, spending $6.6 million on his three bedroom apartment on the floor above Gazal.
Its penthouse previously belonged to Robin White, widow of the late arts patron and L'amarre developer, Ron White, who sold for $6 million in 2014.
Nabil Gazal, who spent $6.4million on a Palm Beach beachfront, is the brother of 2002 Miss World contestant Nicole Gazal.
The family is best known for their Liverpool factory outlet development by his late father Nabil Gazal senior.

It was the $10.85 million home of architect Dennis Rabinowitz and his wife Joan.
