The average number of homes sold per day in the Victorian hotspot of Sunbury. In total there were 604 sales in Sunbury in 2011, making it one of just eight locations out of Smart Investor magazine’s 601 hotspots that managed an average of at least one sale a day over the course of 2011.

 


The decrease in land values last year in the Queensland locality of 1770, the only municipality within the booming muicipality of Gladstone to record a decrease in land values. Land values in the ugly duckling locality decreased 20%, while neighbouring towns increased by an average of 19%, with Bororen, 40 kilometres east, increasing a stellar 70%.

 


The number of mainland suburbs selected in a list of 601 hotspots by Smart Investor magazine that have a median house price of under $300,000. There are 28 in Victoria, 17 sub-$3000,000 hotspots in NSW, six in South Australia, three in Queensland and two in the Northern Territory.
