Former Cockatoo Coal executive chairman Mark Lochtenberg has sold his Mosman home in just 12 days as he sets to make a quick flip on the property.

Bought for $5.8 million last May, the four bedroom Edwards Bay Road home came with a price guide of $6.5 million to $7 million through McGrath Mosman agents Michael Coombs and Adrian Bridges.

He bought it from former Elle editor-in-chief and co-founder of Hush Communications Debbie Coffey and photographer husband Ross.

Mark had made a big profit just a month before the purchase, selling his Curraghbeena Road home for $16 million after paying $6.5 million for it in 2003.

He's added a north facing deck, a wine cellar and a few other structural fixes.

Set on 697 sqm, the home just minutes from Balmoral Beach was designed by Corben Architects and features a glass fronted, resort-style, gas heated swimming pool.

Lochtenberg is planning to move closer to the city.
