Rents are still well down at West Gladstone, the cheapest Queensland locality: Investar
West Gladstone is the cheapest Queensland locality to rent a unit, according to Investar’s latest June report.
The property investment firm says that the median rent price at West Gladstone is $130 a week.
This is followed by Chinchilla with $145 and Dolphin Heads, Dalby and Ingham with $170 a week.

A two bedroom unit at 23/7 Kent Street, West Gladstone (above) has been listed with $125 per week asking rent.
Last year in August the property was available for rent from $175 per week, however 20 days later it was reduced to $150 per week.
Similarly a two bedroom unit at Unit 1/33 Watt Street, West Gladstone (below) has been listed for $140 per week.
The renting price remained the same last year while in 2012 it came with a $480 per week asking rental. The 1970s offering had sold in 2012 at $335,000.
