The Carbone family has been developing new apartments across inner-city Brisbane for the best part of two decades.

Their latest development might be their best one yet.

Carbone Developments, led by brothers Tony and Don Carbone, has unveiled Amado, just 30 large-scale apartments across a six-level building in the inner-north suburb of Windsor, a suburb that they're very familiar with.

Amado is the fifth apartment development Carbone has delivered in Windsor, and their second on the tree-lined Granston Street.

The unique triple site, secured in late 2021, is home to a pre-1911, heritage-listed home which will be restored and form part of the development.

Targeting the owner-occupier, Amado is a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments, and two large penthouses spread across the top level with the communal roof top that offers unrivalled panoramic views of Brisbane City.

Amado has been designed by Brisbane locals Red Door Architecture who drew inspiration from the suburb's creeks and landscapes, as well as the surrounding vernacular houses.

Sustainability has been a key focus in Amado’s design, with allowances for solar panels on the northern portion of the roof.

The building will facilitate natural ventilation through operable windows and large sliding balcony doors, which also provide a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living.

The rooftop terrace will serve as a communal space, offering residents an outdoor kitchen and dining area, a raised sun deck and pool, plus a lounge area for relaxation, all surrounded by palm springs-inspired greenery.

Amado is strategically located just off Lutwyche Road which runs south into the City. Within walking distance are several parks and Windsor Station, less than 500 metre from the front door, while HomeZone shopping centre is just a short drive.

Carbone Developments is a vertically integrated developer builder, meaning they have their own construction arm. They're forecasting construction completion in mid-2026.
