A Newtown Victorian style villa has been sold for $3.28 million after it failed to sell at its recent online auction.

The Newtown offering attracted a top bid of $3,225,000 which was not enough to secure the four bedroom property which had actually come with a $3 million Ray White price guide.

The four bedroom, three bathroom home is situated at 40a Brown Street.

Set on a 286sqm allotment, the house comes with formal and casual living, Calacatta marble gas kitchen, and landscaped garden.

Other features include wide frontage, fireplaces, entertainer's terrace and and attic storage.

It is located close to station and Hollis Park with double parking on title.

Shaun Stoker and Ercan Ersan of Ray White sold the property which was last sold in 2013 for $2.125 million.
