Title TattleSeptember 11, 2016

The off-market purchase of a three-level riverfront home in New Farm by Vita Group chief Maxine Horne for $10.5 million tops Brisbane's trophy home sales this year.

The 2007-built Welsby Street modernist home on 873sq m faces northeast on the Brisbane River. It has now been put up for rent at $2900 a week.

It was listed through Place New Farm agent Judy Goodger

It is the highest sale since Consolidated Property chief Don O’Rorke sold his mansion in Hamilton for more than $11 million.

Brisbane’s record house price remains the heritage home to Australia’s richest woman, Gina Rinehart, which sold for $14 million in 2014.
