Cricketing power couple Mitchell Starc and wife Alyssa Healy are diversifying their property portfolio, but sticking to the Northern Beaches.

Their latest move has seen them spend $1.55 million on a recently subdivided plot of land in Forestville.

They have intentions of calling on home builder Metricon to construct an investment property, possibly lured by Metricon's latest release in the northern beaches at Dee Why which focuses on the Hamptons style trend.

It's their second under the radar purchase in a year, having quietly paid $1,625,000 last year for a house in Killarney Heights.

They renovated parts of the 1970s, three bedroom home before securing an $850 a week tenant, which reflected a 2.7 percent yield.

The couple have called North Curl Curl home since late 2016 when they spent $5,235,000 on the luxury new build of model Jennifer Hawkins and her builder husband Jake Wall.

Starc was terrorising the South Africans on the first day of the 2016 Perth test when his representatives bought the Koichi Takada-designed five bedroom home.

Hawkins and Wall had built the home with a resort style open plan living space that flows on to an alfresco dining area with views over the Lagoon and Ocean to North Head and Manly.

A luxurious outdoor seating area accompanies the infinity pool.

The interiors came with the predictably huge walk in wardrobe, which is large enough to act as a corridor to the master suite's bathroom.

Starc and Healy were moving from Mosman where they scored $5.95 million having paid $4.55 million in 2014.

The couple wed in 2016, becoming only the third married couple to both play Test cricket in the world.

They met when they were nine when they were both wicketkeepers for Northern Districts.

Healy is still a wicketkeeper whereas Starc is now one of the quickest bowlers in the world.

The pair both represent the Sydney Sixers in Australia's T20 Big Bash League, however due to their ongoing national team commitments over the Christmas period, rarely get to pull on the magenta jersey at the SCG.

Starc is set to feature in the upcoming Test series against Pakistan.
