Meat wholesaler Charles Handler and his wife Claire have paid $7.5 million for the Point Piper apartment of the late accountant Jacob Belfer.

The expansive whole floor apartment sold through Christie's International agent Ken Jacobs, who sold the home after 24 days.

Spanning nearly 350 sqm with balconies and garages, the waterfront apartment is just one of three residences in the tightly held block.

It has three bedrooms and a marble floored entertaining space which leads to a wraparound harbour-view terrace.

In 2016 Charles and Claire sold their Bellevue Hill family home for $6 million to Daniel and Alexis Kennedy, of the Kennedy Health Care nursing home family.
