A Forrest house designed by Canberra’s first residential architect, Kenneth Oliphant, was one of Canberra's biggest weekend sales.

It sold for $2.57 million, having last traded when Ken bought the home for $415,000 in 1995.

The four-bedroom 1940s home at 24 Arthur Circle attracted seven registered bidders and five parties placed a bid.

Set on 1,350 sqm, the single level home has been reinvented by Ken into a family entertainer.

Separate formal living areas each lead to outdoor areas and an entertainment patio overlooks a swimming pool and spa.
