Former rugby league player turned TV presenter Beau Ryan and wife Kara Orrell have sold their Paddington home after just 14 days on the market.

The three level Flinton Street home had a guide of $2.5 million to $2.7 million with McGrath's Michael Coombs and Tim Moltzen.

They were set to take the home to a December 3 auction through Tim Moltzen who played alongside Mr Ryan at West Tigers for nearly four years.

Ryan and Orwell paid $1.96 million for the three bedroom, two bathroom home in 2014. It's said they're looking to upsize in the area.

They bought the contemporary terrace just a month after Ryan announced his retirement from NRL on Channel Nine's The Footy Show.

Ryan played 104 games for the West Tigers and 22 for the Cronulla Sharks over his seven year career.
