Domino's Pizza boss Don Meij has sold his Brisbane trophy home for a reported $11 million in an off-market deal.

The chief executive of Australia’s largest pizza chain bought the Ascot home in March 2016 for $8,615,000 from one of Australia’s richest female CEOs, Maxine Horne, and her Fone Zone co-founder and husband David McMahon.

“Don spends a lot of time overseas so although he absolutely loves the house – he adores it actually – he’s just not spending enough time there,” McKinnon told The Brisbane Times.

Set on a sprawling 2024 square metres of land, the home has six bedrooms with marble ensuites.

The previous street record was $10.2 million.

Meij had spent a “considerable amount” putting his personal touches on the property, McKinnon said.

It is suggested he has bought on Eldernell Terrace in Hamilton which had a $7.5 million advertised price.
