The CBRE chairman of residential projects Justin Brown has sold his Mosman home through Raine & Horne following his upgrade to the Balmoral slopes.

The Esther Road home, that cost him $5.18 million in 2007, didn't come with a price guide, however it has been sold before auction.

It had been renovated by his interior designer wife Brooke, with unimplemented architect designed plans.

His purchase was a five-bedroom house reportedly for about $10 million, just 400 metres away from his current residence.

The vendor was the Moratelli family, who were originally involved with the Transfield group.
