The retail veteran, former Woolworths and Myer boss Bill Wavish and wife Vonnie have snappily sold their Palm Beach weekender.

The award-winning Bynya Road home had a guide of $7.5 million with its buyer found in under two two weeks through LJ Hooker's Peter Robinson.

Wavish paid $5.45 million for the Michael Robilliard-designed home in 2009, shortly after he stepped away from his Myer chairmanship.

Back then it was known as Koombahla.

But the Wavish's haven't been using it much, and over their 11 year ownership it's been a pricey rental at times, fetching $25,000 a week in peak season.

The hilltop 2,370 sqm tropical estate homes a six bed mansion built outs of timber, natural stone and glass.

The downsizing Wavish's have also sold their Kurrabba Point mansion.
