Griffith tops list of Canberra house hotspots

Griffith takes the top spot on a list of Canberra's 2016/2017 house hotspots, with an expected increase of 8% over the next 12 months, in a forecast developed by APM senior economist, Dr Andrew Wilson.

The median price at Griffith is currently $1,300,000, according to APM, and some sales in the region are continuing to push the media price higher.

An example would be a two bedroom house at 18 Bannister Gardens (above) that was recently sold for $1,370,000, which is $70,000 above the median price

The Smart Investor magazine, published by Fairfax Media, ranked Bonner, Harrison and Chifley as equal second best hotspot regions for houses in the ACT.
