Injured Manly Sea Eagle Dylan Walker is preparing for family life, settling on a home with partner Alexandra Ivkovic, given the imminent arrival of their first child.

The couple have spent $1.7 million on a Dee Why house, upgrading from Walker's nearby apartment he bought when moving from the South Sydney Rabbitohs to the Manly club.

They're set to welcome a baby boy.

Marketed as an idyllic family home, the 200-built home sits on an elevated 665 square metre parcel with views over Dee Why Lagoon, Long Reef Headland and the ocean.

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan living area with a dining space which extends outdoors to the landscaped gardens.

Raine & Horne Dee Why Collaroy agents Chris Aldren and Harry Pownall sold the home.

They had a $1.6 million guide for its auction, but sold it soon after when offering it up at $1.65 million.

The couple have upgraded in the Northern Beaches from Walker's two bedroom apartment which was nearer the beach.

He paid $815,000 two years ago and has leased it at $600 a week following the upgrade.
