Wargent takes the long view: Tweet of the Day

While national monthly median price changes generate a lot of headlines, Property Observer contributor Pete Wargent is more interested in the view from afar.

The AllenWargent property buyers co-founder noted that Sydney property prices have increased by more than 50% in the past six years, but growth in the smaller cities has been much more modest.

Wargent isn't the only property commentator to note our unbalanced capital city markets. RP Data senior research analyst Cameron Kusher informed Wargent that upon seeing the same figures, some foreign bankers were "extremely shocked at how weak the market is outside of Syd and Melb".
