Former South Sydney Rabbitohs coach Anthony Seibold has bought a home near his new club.

Seibold left the Bunnies in unceremonious circumstances at the end of last year to take over at the Brisbane Broncos, with Wayne Bennett going the other way.

He's now settled on a $1.9 million Paddington home, a stones throw from Suncorp Stadium.

The contemporary home, which dates back to the 1920s, has five bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The living, kitchen and dining opens to an external entertaining terrace, lawn and swimming pool.

A rear terrace has a built-in barbecue.

The purchase comes shortly after Seibold and wife Hollie let go of their investment property near the Gold Coast for $485,000.

They owned the home for the best part of a decade, having paid $261,000 in 2009 the same year it was built.

They were based in Wales at the time where Anthony was the assistant coach at the new Welsh rugby league club the Celtic Crusaders.

Former Bronco's coach Wayne Bennett, who swapped places with Seibold to take the reigns at the Rabbitohs, is yet to buy in Sydney, but he offloaded his former Yeronga home for $2.12 million.
