Eclipse House in Canberra City, sitting directly opposite the ACT Legislative Assembly, has sold for $13.525 million to a local investor.

The 197 London Circuit place in Canberra City was sold via an international expressions of interest (EOI) campaign managed by Colliers International's Tim Mutton.

Eclipse House is an 11 storey B-Grade office building of 6,567sq m net lettable area and is tenanted by the ACT government until November 2016.

Local property investor Zapari Group purchased Eclipse House with long-term plans to convert the property into a hotel due to its prime CBD location.

The sale of Eclipse House, along with the sale of 20 Allara Street late last year, will see further urban renewal of tired office buildings in the CBD, added Mutton.
