Stock for sale virtually unchanged from last year: Pete Wargent

Historically dwelling listings tend to begin to rise from the end of August.
 
However, nationally dwelling stock on market levels remain 1.3% lower than a year ago.
 
At the capital city level stock on market has declined over the past year in Hobart (-11%), Canberra (-8%), Melbourne (-5%), Brisbane (-3%), Adelaide (-2%) and Sydney (-1%).
 
However, there have been significant increases in stock on market in the struggling markets of Perth (+18%) and Darwin (+15%).
