Ouyen is the cheapest locality in Victoria to purchase a house, according to Investar’s latest report.

The property investment firm says that the median price of a house in Ouyen is $120,000.

This is followed by Warracknabeal with $134,000 and Morwell with $135,000.

A three bedroom house at 31 Farrell Street, Ouyen (above) has been listed for $115,000.

It last sold in 2013 for $70,000 and again in 2003 for $65,000.

Similarly a three bedroom house at 13 Gregory Street, Ouyen (below) has been listed for between $90,000 to $95,000.

It last sold in 2003 for $80,000.

A three bedroom house at 25 Gregory Street, Ouyen (below) was sold in May for $120,000.

It last sold in 2001 for $25,000.

Similarly a three bedroom house at 23 Farrell Street, Ouyen (below) was sold in February for $85,000.

It last sold in 1986 for $27,200.
