The award winning mortgage broker N1 Finance, partnering with Seekahome Pty Ltd, has created a mobile and tablet only application which allows property owners to create rental listings for free in as little as 90 seconds.

The application, titled 'Snailapp', allows landlords to source their own tenants through and a engage with them directly through the apps messenger service.

Roughly 1.8 million households rented a property, according to Australian census data and with average management fees around 5 per cent and an average property price of $500,000 across all states, landlords are paying $1,100 a year in property management fees.

Managing Director of N1 Finance Ren Wong said that even with a conservative estimate of 600,000 properties managed by agents in Australia, the addressable market for DIY rental apps would be $660 million.

Snailapp is available now on iOS and Android.
