High agent confidence declines over sales cycle: CoreLogic RP Data

Vendors typically loose confidence in their chosen real estate agent throughout the sales cycle, with price expectations cited as the usual driver.

CoreLogic RP Data's recently released '2015 Consumer Perceptions of Real Estate' report found that despite an agent's hard work and industry knowledge, vendors typically 'dubious' that the agent would find a buyer at their chosen price.

The report noted the issue of “managing down” vendor price expectations common.

"One of the most important findings of the survey is that vendors were dubious that the agent would succeed in selling," it noted.

Vendors cited their own research as the best way to feel confident that their agent was performing properly and telling them the truth.
