Newcastle off the plan apartments

Construction is underway on Newcastle's latest residential development, ONE Apartments.&nbsp;

Their inhouse construction team, GWH Build, is handling construction of the two-tower development of just under 200 one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

The demolition of the existing site concluded late last year, paving the way for structural piling and inground work, which commenced early this year.

ONE Apartments, designed by global architects Marchese Partners and local firm CKDS, will feature one of GWH's signature inclusions, two all-weather rooftop entertaining areas overlooking 360-degree views of Newcastle.&nbsp;

Among the additional amenities are an outdoor heated pool, cinema, gymnasium, steam room, and several smaller private communal spaces available for bookings.

GWH officially launched ONE Apartments to the market in mid-June 2022.

The project attracted a strong interest from the outset, particularly among purchasers from other GWH developments. This has resulted in over one-third of Stage One being sold within the first eight weeks on the market.

"Currently, we're over 50 per cent sold in Stage One and all of our one-bedroom apartments are sold out which shows so much confidence in the market at the moment in Newcastle City, especially off-the-plan," said GWH/RE Licensee in Charge - Peter Kunov.

"Our enquiry rate every week seems to grow despite the current market and the confidence in the off-the-plan sales for both downsizers and investors and first home buyers is really strong."

ONE is located in the centre of Newcastle, just steps away from the Interchange, Marketown Shopping Centre and Newcastle’s famous walking tracks and trails.

Newcastle's One Apartments over 50% sold as construction continues

Newcastle and Lake Macquarie apartment developer Next Level Seven has officially launched Watervue, a bold new statement to the growing Newcastle skyline.

Rare new off the plan apartment development launches in Newcastle

A new mixed-use development is set to transform the landscape of Lindus Street in the inner suburbs of Newcastle, with the demolition of two warehouses and a concrete car park set to make way for the construction of 59 new dwellings in <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/developments/wickham-nsw">Wickham</a>.

The plans for <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-apartments/1-21-railway-street-wickham">1-21 Railway Street, Wickham</a>, were lodged by Gemini Interchange Pty Ltd, which is directed by Maitland-born Kristoffer and Dallas Harvey. Kristoffer is currently the CEO for Goodman Group's activities in Greater China.&nbsp;

The development will comprise 21 one-bedroom, 32 two-bedroom and six three-bedroom apartments, along with five four-bedroom three-storey terrace houses, providing a range of living options to cater to the diverse needs of the community.

It’s hoped the project will help address Newcastle’s rental crisis — with the city’s vacancy rate sitting at just 1.4 per cent.&nbsp;

The 11-storey development has been designed by&nbsp;CKDS Architecture, with it also set to feature communal open space and an urban activation space facing Lindus Street, as well as ground floor retail space on Railway Street.&nbsp;

The landscape design developed by Xeriscapes will integrate with and enhance the architectural forms and will aid in helping council to deliver a north facing urban activation space&nbsp;to the corners of Railway and Lindus streets, consistent with the vision for a public network outlined in City of Newcastle’s Wickham Masterplan 2017 and 
subsequent 2021 update.

The facade will feature concrete panel walls, metal screens and metal flat bar balustrades, paired with face brickwork, lightweight cladding and powder-coated horizontal plant louvres.&nbsp;

The built form has been constructed to maximise natural sunlight and cross flow ventilation throughout each of the residences while also providing view lines to the harbour.&nbsp;

The northern façade presents as an open form, taking advantage of sunlight and views, broken down into a hierarchy of slabs edges, dividing walls, and balconies.

80 car spaces will be available across the site, with 31 planned for the ground level and 49 across level one, in addition to four motorcycle spaces and 64 bicycle spaces, which has been pitched to encourage more sustainable transport options.&nbsp;

The near $30 million project is&nbsp;conveniently located near the <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/new-apartments/newcastle-nsw">Newcastle</a> Interchange and is well located for transport, shopping, public places and civic open spaces within the Newcastle City Centre.

The project is expected to take several years to complete, with construction set to begin in the near future. The development is expected to be a significant addition to the city, providing new homes, retail space, and green areas, while also enhancing the overall aesthetic of the area.
