Melbourne developer Cornus tried to hit a niche when they started developing in Glen Iris, which has long been dominated by large, expensive houses.

Their under construction Cornus Glen Iris project on Malvern Road, a stone's throw away from Gardiner Station, is offering an entry point at $515,000 for the one-bedroom apartments. Even the largest apartments on offer in the 41-apartment building, the three-bedders, are priced under $1 million.

Expected to be complete in Q1 2024, Cornus Glen Iris offers a peaceful sanctuary, while being located just 10 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD.

The construction phase has commenced at LDS Property's Glen Iris apartments, GALERIE.&nbsp;

The group appointed award-winning construction firm Iurada to build the project, with works across the site slated for completion in late 2024.&nbsp;

The commencement of construction will only drive buyer demand higher. Already over 40 per cent of the apartments in GALERIE already have sold.&nbsp;

Projects by Buxton, who are handling the sales of the project, broke the Glen Iris record for an apartment earlier this year, selling an amalgamation of two penthouses off-the-plan for around $4 million, highlighting the demand for high-end apartments within the area.&nbsp;

There's only two and three-bedroom apartments left in Galerie. All of the one-bedroom apartments are spoken for.

Ewert Leaf, in collaboration with John Patrick, were tasked with handling the designs across the development, with the remaining two and three-bedders afforded private courtyards and terraces, situated in an elevated position benefitting from leafy views.&nbsp;

The apartments feature generous open-plan living areas, complimented with oak timber flooring, with the kitchens designed to be an entertainer's delight, boasting&nbsp;natural stone benchtops and&nbsp;built-in Asko appliances, including an integrated fridge, dishwasher and range-hood.&nbsp;

Construction commences at Galerie, Glen Iris apartment development

Each residence at Galerie has been designed for the cosmopolitan lifestyle, with generous open-plan living areas imbued with artistic luxury.

The sun-bathed kitchens, seamlessly integrated with the living areas, is a culinary delight, fitted with European appliances, fully-integrated cabinetry, and ample storage which create a functional and stylish space.
