The celebrity personal trainer Shannan Ponton, who made his name in Channel 10's The Biggest Loser show, has bought at North Curl Curl.
Ponton sold at Freshwater for $1.59 million last year and will anyday now be moving into a $2.5 million home.
It's a four bedroom, three bathroom house constructed in 2012. The master bedroom comes with sea views.
It was marketed as having a resort style, solar heated swimming pool by Ray White agent Graham Bennett who secured the sale pre-auction. There's 355 sqm living space on the 570 sqm block. 
From 2007 Ponton was the blue team leader on the Channel 10 weight-loss program who competed against the Steve "Commando" Willis and Michelle Bridges.
Ponton and his wife Kylie had paid $1.09 million in 2010 for their two storey four bedroom, two bathroom Freshwater home soon after they married.
It had 200 sqm internal space with decking rather than garden on the 310 sqm block.
They especially wanted a pool and garden.
Shannan was never going to stray far from the northern beaches where he trains the Harbord Valley Spartans rugby team in strength and conditioning.

Celebrity personal trainer Shannan Ponton buys in North Curl Curl

Manly Sea Eagles skipper Dale Cherry-Evans and partner Vessa Rockliff have quietly upgraded in the northern beaches.
It comes as Channel 7 reported that if Neil Henry is appointed Sea Eagles coach to replace Trent Barrett then captain Daly Cherry-Evans will seek a release to leave the club.
The couple seem set to move almost on the beach, shifting from their inland cottage also in Curl Curl.
Their $3.4 million designer home purchase opposite Curl Curl Beach had been listed with $3.7 million hopes by Emma Lo Russo, the older sister of local Channel 7 House Rules presenter Joh Griggs, and whose Emma's husband Paul.
The architect-designed home was constructed in the early 2000s having paid $330,000 in 1993.
“We designed the house for great entertaining," Russo told the Manly Daily when it was listed in June.
"You can cook from the kitchen and see the kids playing in the pool," Russo said.
Cherry-Evans and Rockliff have three kids after welcoming their third daughter late last year.
The four bedroom home has an open plan living and dining area with a sunken lounge room, an upper level sitting room and an alfresco deck which accompanies the raised 10 metre salt-chlorinated swimming pool.
Stone Real Estate Dee Why agent Toby Martin sold the home in 94 days.
The home sits just 500 metres away from the couple's former residence.
They've been based in the single level, four bedroom home since 2014 when they paid $1,355,000, shortly before the birth of their second child.
That too features a saltwater swimming pool.
Cherry-Evans is still waiting for a buyer for his redundant Gold Coast home he bought when he agreed to join the Titans back in 2015, only to backflip on the deal and sign a bumper deal with Manly.
The 1970s beach house in Mermaid Beach quickly became a $1,300 a week rental, having cost $1.45 million.
Evans is back in green and gold after a four year exile. He will be captaining the Prime Ministers XIII in his national football comeback against Papa New Guinea this weekend.

But the marketing campaign that began today with the local paper Manly Daily exclusive won't be accompanied by any official price guidance.

Steve Thomas has had a hand in two prior sales in the Windy Drop Down gated community where sales have ranged from $2.7 million to $6.7 million over the past four years.
Another non-cliff front designer property fetched $3.15 million two doors away in late 2012 when Thomas sold the 2007 built four bedroom house.
The couple have lived in the Molong Street home for the past three years since the built on a former tennis court block that cost $1.375 million in 2010.
Their next nearby Koichi Takada-designed home is underway with Jen recently revealing details on social media about her plans.

A cute Curl Curl fibro cottage, which was set to take a starring role in the 2004 film Eucalyptus, has been listed for sale.
The 1940's house, still in its original condition, was cast as the perfect place to shoot the film that was to feature Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman.
The home missed its chance in the spotlight as the film adaption of the Murray Bail book was cancelled.
Sitting on 700 sqm of level land, the original cottage has three bedrooms and a sunroom, all a short walk to the beach.
The cottage on Bennett Street has been in the same family for over six decades after carpenter Walter Moore bought the property for £3,500 in 1953.
He built the kitchen, and garden shed and gazebo at the back of the property near the original olive tree that still stands, probably the oldest and largest olive tree on the northern beaches. 
The property still boasts a grove of banana trees, nectarines, figs, passionfruit, organs, lemons, macadamia nuts, custard apples, papayas, rare plums and avocados.
Listing agents Graham Bennett and Bernard Hachenberg of Ray White Freshwater have set a price guide of around <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-curl+curl-121949354" target="_blank">$1.7 million for its March 12 auction</a>.
Eucalyptus, the film based on the award-winning book that never made it, tells the story of a young woman whose beauty and unattainability become legend far beyond the rural western New South Wales town.
Kidman was supposed to play the role of the young woman and Jack Thompson as the protective father.
Crowe was selected to play the lead as the lover who, if he could correctly name all the species of Eucalyptus on the father's property would win his daughter's hand in marriage.

Her first property purchase, in 2006, was another three-bedroom house in Merewether for which she paid $469,000. It is still held by the cossie designer.

The North Curl Curl house that Jake Wall and Jen Hawkins built in 2010 has returned to the market.
Sydney's glamorous property developer couple secured $4.1 million for the home in 2014, having seen potential for the 694 sqm parcel that was just a tennis court.
It's now tipped to fetch $4.9 million through Belle Property Dee Why agents Brendan Pomponio and Kirsten Bertram, who have set a March 11 auction.
It's been listed by businesswoman Elizabeth Gaines and her partner Kevin Manuel, who have made no updates to the home.
The only major change detected in the latest marketing photos from when Hawkins listed it is the lack of shoes in the opulent dressing suite shoe rack.
Gaines and Manuel are off to Perth, where Gaines has been made CFO of Andrew 'Twiggy' Forrest's mining company Fortescue Metals.
Set in the Windy Dropdown gated community, Jen and Jake bought the building block for $1,375,000 in 2009.
It was the start of the collaboration between Jen and architect Koichi Takada, who built their second North Curl Curl home and their newest project on Pittwater.
The four bedroom, three level luxury North Curl Curl home features retractable glass walls that peel back to open up a number of flowing living spaces.
There are outdoor balconies and terraces aplenty, with an Enviro lap pool and barbecue quarters accompanying the large level lawn.
Gaines has secured a $3.57 million Cottesloe, Perth home.
Their Berowra Waters weekender was sold in 2014 to Cate Blanchett and husband Andrew Upton for $1,495,000.
Hawkins and Wall have developed a reputation for building lavish houses in the northern beaches pensinsula, and then selling them at a big price.
They sold another Koichi Takada designed home late last year to cricket power couple Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Healey for $5,235,000.
The North Curl Curl success put Jen and Jake firmly on the path to profitable property success.
It is not long now before hey move into their 'forever home' on Pittwater, after the couple splashed $4 million in 2014 on two adjoining Newport properties.
The joint holdings comprise over 3,200 sqm, with almost 37 metres of absolute water frontage.
Hawkins has recently told the Daily Telegraph that she "can't wait to see the finished product" as she finalises the interior design and furnishings.
"We are in the middle of planning interiors and of course, now I'm into lounges, rugs and plants as much as fashion," the Myer ambassador said.
