A Broadbeach Waters resident has amalgamated three apartments in Florian, the popular Surfers Paradise riverfront apartment development by Pacifico Investments.

Peter Kerr, who runs PLK DESIGN, has worked with Pacifico and architect Mode to create what will be a 450 sqm, full-floor penthouse with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Kerr's PLK DESIGN recently won the Yacht Interior design award for Best Salon at the International Design Et Al Yachting and Aviation awards, presented in June 2023 at the Cipriani in Venice, so the designer knew what to look for when searching for an apartment.&nbsp;

"As the director of my local interior design studio PLK DESIGN, I am looking forward to fully customising the apartment to exactly what I want," Kerr said.&nbsp;

Kerr said he decided on Florian&nbsp;due to the smaller number of apartments within the building, just 45, compared to a lot of other developments on the market.&nbsp;

"After looking at the quality of other projects the developer and builder have completed, I knew it was the place for me."

The location was a key element for Kerr. The site shares two boundaries with Cascade Gardens and Little Tallebudgera Creek, meaning view lines will never be built out,&nbsp;which is a rarity.&nbsp;

"Its close enough to walk to the beach, but much less busy than the tourist focused area closer to the beach. The pool, gym and barbecue amenities on the rooftop are an added bonus."

Having moved from Melbourne a few years ago, Florian will be Kerr's home base when he's in the Gold Coast. It's also only a short move from where he currently resides on Monaco Street in Broadbeach Waters, meaning he's not giving up his favourite cafe, Coffee Sisters, which he can easily walk to from Florian, or the 40-acre Albert Park lake were he walks his dog.&nbsp;

It's Kerr's first time purchasing off the plan, but he noted the ease of the process.&nbsp;

"I’m downsizing from a large parcel of land, so I’m looking forward to more of a maintenance free lifestyle," he said.&nbsp;

"After spending two of years building my previous house, the ease of purchasing off the plan was too hard to pass up."

Buyer creates full floor penthouse at Florian, Surfers Paradise

The Gold Coast property market continues to prove strong with Sydney-based developer Sammut Group, in partnership with Alceon, achieving $22.25 million in sales for the six-star project in less than a month.&nbsp;

The group recently secured the sale of a full-floor apartment on Level 34 of their beachfront COAST tower in Surfers Paradise for $11.52 million, following on from a $10.75 million sale in February.

The second full-floor apartment was sold to a Brisbane-based buyer who plans to move permanently to the Gold Coast.

Scarcely does a boutique apartment development come along in Surfers Paradise, where it's much more common to be high in the sky.

But the latest development plans lodged for 30 Sunset Boulevarde, on the western side of Ferny Ave and near the Nerang River, will offer buyers an opportunity for a lower density product&nbsp;

The eight-level apartment block, which will take in views of the water, the HOTA precinct, and Surfers Paradise skyline, will have six high-end apartments designed by architecture firm BDA.

"The architecture of the proposed development is expressive and dynamic, with gently curved upstands and a textured and timeless material palette of white and grey concrete, timber screening and stone cladding," BDA said in their design statement for the project.&nbsp;

The 615 sqm site is located in a high-density development zone which means the architects had the freedom to create a building that maximises on the use of available space.&nbsp;

The whole floor units are designed to cater to families, each with four bedrooms. They focus on natural ventilation and natural light, with each set to include large feature balconies that can be used as an outdoor living rooms, offering views of the Nerang River.

A penthouse apartment crowns the building, spanning across two levels, with nearly 400 sqm of internal space and nearly 150 sqm of outdoor space which includes a private pool and alfresco dining space.&nbsp;The penthouse will also have five bathrooms, a multi-purpose room, an office, and two car spaces.&nbsp;

Residents will also benefit from a ground floor outdoor terrace space, with a pool, dining space, pool and sun lounges. A gym and sauna will also be incorporated within the space.&nbsp;

The last apartment development approved on Sunset Boulevarde was in 2021 when a four-pack was approved. There was another in 2020.

Sammut Group achieve $10.75M sale in Garfield Terrace apartment development, COAST

The two-level penthouse crowning developer Weiya Holdings' beachfront Northcliffe, Surfers Paradise tower AALTO, is set to be one of the most impressive penthouses on the sought-after Garfield Terrace when completed in 2025.

Priced at $15.8 million, the penthouse, sprawled across levels 35 and 36 of the Conrad Gargett-designed tower, will offer a massive 848 sqm, a price per sqm of under $19,000.

Weiya Holdings Sales and Marketing Director Patrick Pancur says the penthouse will have a number of elements which are unrepeatable on the beach.

Following development approval in September, Malaysian property developer MRCB International has launched it's debut Queensland apartment project, 26 Vista.

Named after it's prime location at 26 Vista Street, just one street back from the sought-after Northcliffe Beach, 26 Vista will rise 51 levels and home 280 apartments starting from $600,000. There will also be six three-storey townhouses that front Northcliffe Light Rail Station.

There was a conscious effort by local architecture firm DBI Design to focus on sustainability initiatives which are often seen more frequently in Australia's major capital cities and rarely in the Gold Coast apartment market.

Residents will be encouraged to transition to electric powered vehicles with an array of EV charging ports that will future-proof the development, while a proposed EV car share service is said to be the first on-site service of this kind on the Gold Coast.

Recent council population data forecasts that by 2041, the Surfers Paradise population will have nearly doubled and it is estimated that of that, close to 85,900&nbsp; people will live in high-rise towers.

Construction is scheduled to commence on 26 Vista in the third quarter of 2023, with the project scheduled for completion in 2026.

One-bedroom apartments are starting from $600,000, two-bedroom units start from $875,000, and the three-bed units from $1.8m.

Sammut Group Chief Operating Officer, Julian Sammut said the construction start is a testament to the strength of the iconic project, which has continued to persevere despite the recent raft of issues confronting the construction industry that has seen many other Gold Coast projects slow or stall.&nbsp;

Multiplex has been responsible for the delivery of several of South-East Queensland’s most high-profile developments, including Destination Gold Coast Tower 2 at Star Residences, Queens Wharf Brisbane, Jewel Gold Coast, and the W Hotel Brisbane, with Regional Director, Glenn Robinson saying his team was excited to partner with Sammut to deliver such an iconic project.&nbsp;

“This is a higher end product than anything else we’ve delivered on the Gold Coast with its beautiful architecture, joinery and stonework. It will really challenge anything else available on the coast in terms of quality,” said Robinson.&nbsp;

With all but a handful of apartments left, the project broke records at launch achieving an average per apartment price of $5.25 million.&nbsp;

Highland Property Chief Executive Officer David Highland says COAST drew significant interest from launch, with buyers so keen to secure an apartment, they paid upfront holding deposits of $50,000, sight unseen.

The project has drawn local downsizers wanting a lifestyle up-size, along with buyers from Toorak, New Zealand, and Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches and Sutherland Shire wanting a second home.

For the residents not basking in the private penthouse pool, COAST also includes a 32-metre pool, which wraps from the east to the north, as well as a yoga studio, massage rooms, a sauna, function facilities, a beach bar, numerous break-out areas and a commercial sized gym.&nbsp;

COAST also includes its own concierge, with premium services included for all residents, from home cleaning, to restaurant bookings and even airport transport and food and beverage delivery.&nbsp;

Construction kicks off on $200 million beachfront apartments COAST by Sammut Group

Seldom is there a project which occupies both an absolute riverfront and absolute parkfront position.

Cue Florian, the latest project to hit Surfers Paradise.

The project is on the Monaco Street dress circle, more commonly known for its high-end waterfront houses with private jetties.

Developer Pacificio Investments had something else in mind for their 984 sqm site at 42 Monaco Street bordering Cascade Gardens. They'll be developing a 17-level tower with just 45 apartments, which will capture sweeping views over the river, parkland, hinterland and ocean.

Absolute riverfront, absolute parkside: Florian, Surfers Paradise apartments launch

Sydney-based property developers Garfield Development's venture into the Gold Coast is well under way, with the start of construction bringing their Surfers Paradise project closer to fruition.

Absolute beachfront tower Aspire will comprise just 37 residences over 24-levels, with residents set to enjoy a host of resort-inspired amenities.&nbsp;

Aspire's ground floor houses some of the amenity offering, where the features include an infinity pool taking in expansive ocean views.&nbsp;The ground floor also boasts a fully equipped gym, as well as a residents lounge, a surfboard and sports storeroom and entertainment areas.&nbsp;

Stepping up to level one in Aspire, a number of communal areas are scattered around. A second gym finds a space in level one, along with a steam room and infrared sauna, a yoga room and an additional owner's lounge, complete with a kitchen and bar.
