Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale spends $1.6 million at Byron Bay

Andrew Stockdale, the hard rock lead singer of Wolfmother has spent $1.6 million on a Byron Bay cottage.

Its a four bedroom, three bathroom house (pictured below).

Its been the NSW north coast town where he wrote and recorded the songs for his new solo album, Keep Moving.

It was listed last November with $1.7 million hopes.

Stockdale officially took possession shortly after Easter this year.

It last sold for $740,000 in 2006.

Last year Stockdale listed two adjoining Prince Street, Paddington Brisbane properties.

He sold a two-level cottage (pictured below) with two-bedrooms and studio, with double-glazed windows, for $725,000 through Judi O’Dea of Space Property.

He'd transformed the home adding a sound proof studio where by Wolfmother's Platinum album Cosmic Egg was written and recorded.
