Overstand, a sprawling 1920s Wembley house, has been sold for $2.5 million.

The Harborne Street home is believed to be the first house built in the Perth suburb.

It has been restored and extended since last sold at $1.2 million in 2008, with its elevated position with views.

The three original bedrooms feature fireplaces.

There is also an original weatherboard cottage and cellar, used as a kitchen until the 1950s, that have been converted into a self-contained studio with kitchenette, ensuite and bedroom.
