David Waterhouse, the former bookmaker, and wife Janette have listed their Elizabeth Bay trophy home, Tresco with $50 million aspirations.

The grand sandstone manor was built in 1868, and last traded for $11 million in 2004 when bought by Waterhouse, of the famed racing clan.

He is the younger brother of Robbie, and uncle to Tom and Kate.

Looking out towards Clark Island, the nine bedroom Victorian Italianate home sits on an enormous 2700 sqm harbour front block on the so-called loop.

It boasts private sea pool, a jetty, boat house and three deepwater moorings.

For some nine decades it was the residence of the Naval officer-in-Command of the Royal Australian Navy.

It has been listed by Christie's International agent Ken Jacobs in conjunction with Brad Pillinger at Pillinger Real Estate.
