Perth luxury apartment developer Blackburne has announced their first truly boutique high-end development for the South Perth Waterfront.

Blackburne, who is known for recent award-winning developments such as The Grove Residences in Claremont and ONE Subiaco, will develop the luxury project at 44 Mill Point Road.

The project will feature only 57 large-scale apartments, ranging from $2 million to $10 million. The development will have health club-level facilities, a bathhouse, private dining rooms, and a private residents’ lounge.

Managing Director and Founder of Blackburne Paul Blackburne said it is their most exciting development to date.

“We’re proud to be bringing a project that responds to the unique character of South Perth while raising the bar for apartment living," Blackburne said.

"Perth has never seen a boutique project with mostly ultra-high-end residences, and we’re excited to bring something new to people wanting to live in South Perth.

“With larger floorplans than we have ever done before, ultra-premium finishes and a focus on privacy and views, this development is tailored for discerning owner occupiers who want to stay connected to the city while enjoying a relaxed, riverside lifestyle. This location is without a doubt the best in South Perth and will bring something new to the area. It’s our most exciting development yet,” he said.

When designing the South Perth development, local architects MJA Studio drew inspiration from the forms of the river, the local tonal palettes of the peninsula and the iconic local architecture such as the Flour Mill and the Narrows Bridge.

The DA is progressing through the new 11B Pathway and has undergone three comprehensive design review sessions with a state-appointed expert panel of architects.

Throughout the State design review process, the submission received recognition for design excellence for landscape quality, sustainability and aesthetics from the state design review panel. In line with the City of South Perth Activity Centre Plan (ACP), the project is within the height limit of 17 levels.
