Beach one side, park the other: The unrivalled location of Ora Sorrento
Sorrento has long been one of Perth’s most sought-after coastal suburbs. This northern beachside location offers pristine shores, a vibrant marina lifestyle, and access to essential amenities—all just a 20-minute drive from the city.
The stretch of coastline from Hillarys to Marmion has remained a tightly held pocket, with few new developments brought to market in recent years. Seizing a once-in-a-generation opportunity was respected developer Megara, who secured a prime 5,777 sqm site fronting West Coast Drive—the closest street to the Sorrento sands—back in 2018.

Since then, Megara has been refining its vision in consultation with the Western Australian Department of Planning, aiming to sensitively introduce a new apartment development alongside an extensive retail precinct—much-needed in a location where housing stock has been limited.
The new development, Ora Sorrento, will deliver 73 two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, redefining beachside living in the area. Alongside its premium design, one of the strongest drawcards for buyers has been Ora’s exceptional location. While West Coast Drive runs for six kilometres—from Trigg in the south to Hillarys in the north—Ora is positioned in arguably one of the most desirable spots along the entire stretch.
With an expansive frontage to West Coast Drive, many of the apartments offer uninterrupted, never-to-be-built-out views of the Indian Ocean. To the east, residences overlook the neighbouring Geneff Park, a 14-hectare green space featuring shaded lawns, walking paths, and a marine-themed playground designed to cater to toddlers through to older children.
Ora is located directly on Marmion Beach, just before it transitions into Sorrento Beach. The marina precinct, one of Perth’s most iconic lifestyle destinations, features restaurants such as The Breakwater and Ishka, boutique retail shopping, and the Rottnest Island ferry terminal. The marina also offers Ora Sorrento owners the convenience of docking their private boats just a short walk away.
Beyond the coastline, Sorrento delivers everything needed for day-to-day living. The trendy Flora Terrace, with boutiques and cafes, is just a five-minute drive, while larger shopping and lifestyle hubs, including Westfield Whitford City and Karrinyup, are just 10 minutes away and cater to fashion, entertainment, and everyday essentials.
In addition to the outstanding local amenity, a cafe/restaurants is planned for the ground level, as well as a full suite of private resident facilities on the podium level at Ora. These include a heated ocean-view pool with cabanas, a gym with a sauna, a residents’ lounge, and even a wine cellar, all located on an exclusive residents’ deck. Plus, residents can also enjoy a game of bocce or practice their putting in the private landscaped courtyard area.
Construction on Ora is now underway with PACT Construction and is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
