55 Hardiman, the contemporary apartment development in Melbourne's Kensington, has been garnering much attention from first home buyers in recent weeks.

That's been due in large part to it's location, as well as its design by award-winning Plus Architecture, who have focused on drawing out the Kensington lifestyle, combining industrial edge with contemporary comforts.

Plus Architecture pride themselves on their ability to create projects that contribute positively to Australia’s urban landscapes.

Comprising just 28 apartments and five townhomes, 55 Hardiman pays homage to the area’s traditional industrial buildings as well as its residential streetscapes. Plus say they drew inspiration from the industrial districts of New York City.

55 Hardiman will feature a shared rooftop terrace crowning the development with views to the CBD.

First home buyers, as well as investors, have been keen on the low entry price of $455,000 for the one-bedroom apartments and $599,000 for the two-bedders.

The townhouse offerings in particular stand out, featuring an open plan design and a private rooftop garden that offer views towards Docklands, as well as demonstrating a square footage that is uncommon for inner city Melbourne.

Natural stone, integrated joinery and light-filled spaces have been prioritised throughout both the apartment and townhome designs, with the goal to offer residents a quality blank canvas.

The apartments also include engineered timber flooring, stone bench tops, Miele kitchen appliances, LED lighting, ducted air-conditioning and 2-Pac finishes.

55 Hardiman Street is a short walk from the local café and shopping scene, as well as parks and public transport.

There's the nearby Moonee Ponds Creek Trail which leads in to the heart of the city, as well as easy train access from nearby Macaulay Station.

There are a number of respected primary schools just a few kilometers away which will draw young families and couples. Kensington Primary and St Mary's Primary school are the two closest.
