The team at the Melbourne development company Caydon Property have ranked shared amenity as a priority in their new Preston apartment development, Due North.

“There’s been a shift in the way we work, which has been reflected in the spaces we’ve designed for Due North”, Caydon Architecture & Design director, Giuditta de Santis, told Urban.

The working from home trend has seen Caydon create a co-working space in the lobby of the 12-level, 107-apartment development on the sought-after High Street.

The rooftop is the focal point of the resident amenity.

There's space for a work-out, with a dedicated yoga lawn and gym area with weights and aerobics equipment.

The tiered rooftop also features an infinity pool with views to Melbourne, reminiscent of luxury pools found in Australia's best penthouses.

Also on the roof is built-in seating and barbecue areas for entertaining.

There will be three retail spaces on the ground floor, offering the ultimate convenience for residents. Due North also has a walk score of 91, putting residents within walking distance of a number of bars and restaurants, as well as partklands and schools.

All apartments come complete with a bike space, to help residents cut down on transport carbon emissions and encourage the exploration of the local surrounds.

Resident at Due North can “live clever”, thanks to the Caydon app that will help residents request repairs, reserve shared spaces, and even pay some of their bills.

Prices at Due North start from $352,000.
