A 7-bedroom Victorian villa on Wynnstay Road in Prahran is on the market with $3.5 million hopes.

Situated on a 1,100-square-metre block, the property boasts original features including hand painted stained glass windows, stately ceilings and a Corinthian-columned arched hallway.

The 11-room interior includes three baths and the property needs to be renovated.

In 2009 the property was transferred from MHAV Hostels – formerly Mental Hospitals’ Auxiliaries of Victoria – to Mind Australia.

Mind Australia is a provider of community mental health services.

The property will go under the hammer on August 17 through Gowan Stubbings and Michael Armstrong of Kay & Burton.
