Melbourne restaurateur Peter Bartholomew lists CBD apartment with $7.5m plus hopes

Peter Bartholomew has listed his 10th floor Melbourne CBD apartment in the 51 Spring St tower.

It is a whole floor in the complex designed by the architect Nonda Katsalidis in a late 1990s office conversion.

Expressions of interest for the apartment close August 9.

Colliers has the listing in conjunction with Marshall White who advised buyers the apartment in the heart of Melbourne's Paris-End had never been publicly available for sale.

It comes with a yoga room, wine cellar and a library.

There are west, south, east and north-facing terraces with views including Parliament House, the Royal Exhibition Building, the Old Treasury and Fitzroy and Treasury gardens.

The listing notes “51 Spring St is one of Melbourne’s most tightly held and desirable addresses."

It is a 22-apartment complex.

The last known whole floor offering fetched $5.5 million in 2016, with 400sqm space, which sold through Kay & Burton agent Monique Depierre, which first sold at $1.1 million in 1998.

Bartholomew has been behind several local restaurants through the years including MoVida, Lee Ho Fook and Rosa’s Canteen.
