A Melbourne development site and film production studio has sold for $3.5 million.

The Elsternwick property (pictured below) at 15-19 Gordon Street, in Melbourne’s inner south comes with a two-storey office and a laboratory that was formerly occupied by Cinivex Film Laboratories and most recently by production company Deluxe.

It was sold by Agent Grange Property Consultants director Joel Wald who negotiated the off market sale on behalf of Elsternwick Properties Pty Ltd.

The 1,160-square-metre site is opposite Elsternwick train station and close to the Glen Huntly Road retail precinct.

It was bought by a Melbourne-based purchaser who is considering its options including a continuation of the current use and possible development of the site.

It comes with more than 20 car spaces.

Deluxe have worked on films such as The Sapphires, which was filmed in New South Wales and Vietnam.

And the property is up for lease by Colliers.
