The $1.8 million sale of a townhouse in Glen Iris has set a record price for townhouses in the area.

Located on Peace Street, the 340-square-metre brand new home went under the hammer on March 16 through Jason Brinkworth and Leonard Teplin of Marshall White with three hopeful buyers competing.

The townhouse features four bedrooms and three bathrooms and boasts a miele-equipped kitchen, oak floors, high ceilings and a landscaped outdoor area.

It stands in a cul-de-sac close to Gardiners Creek parkland.

The townhouse is also connected to the National Broadband Network (NBN).
