David Brown set to find that property prices can be almost as unpredictable as the weather

The veteran Channel 7 weatherman David Brown has embarked on a new career in real estate.

He has his first listing at Park Orchards.

The meteorologist has signed on with Hoskins Real Estate in Melbourne's east having been replaced in his prime-time news slot by former Olympic swimmer Giaan Rooney.

He stays on at Seven as network meteorologist covering special weather events for shows including Sunrise, Sunday Night and Today Tonight.

The Hoskins director John Hoskins said the long-time Park Orchards resident had join the sales team at the Donvale office.

Brown is yet to be added to the sales team featured on the company office website, or website page, but has a page on thehomepage website.

His listings include a Park Orchards house with $740,000 plus hopes which he has described as a "hidden treasure" with "sturdy bones" that is "soaked in northern light" with a "heart warming ambience."

The house comes with split-system air-conditioner.
