Cedar Woods breaks ground for luxury North Melbourne project, 88 Leveson

Once complete, 88 Leveson will encompass 15 architecturally designed three and four-bedroom townhomes designed by Genton Architecture, each with individual car parking and a private rooftop terrace in what is slated to be a bespoke, modern-industrial style offering that pays homage to the site’s identity as the Patrick’s badge works.

ASX-listed developer Cedar Woods has recently celebrated the groundbreaking for its luxury North Melbourne townhome development, 88 Leveson

Continuing its long-standing relationship with Cedar Woods, Melbourne builder Burbank Urban has been appointed to deliver the project, with Cedar Woods’ Victorian Development Director James Bovell saying it’s an exciting time to be building in North Melbourne.

The sod turn of 88 Leveson answers demand for owner-occupiers increasingly looking for culturally-rich, amenity-driven, city-fringe locations moments from Melbourne’s CBD – with North Melbourne fast becoming one of Melbourne’s most sought-after locations for homebuyers.

“The area is going through transformation, yet still retains the rich character and history of its industrial past. This is finding interest with a broad range of homebuyers, who see value in the project and area to suit their unique lifestyles and circumstances,” Bovell said.

This sentiment is true for Marshall White Director Mark Dayman, who is receiving diverse homebuyer interest for 88 Leveson; with current purchasers including downsizers, a family with teenage children, as well as a young couple.

"88 Leveson was launched to a very receptive audience. The location enjoys proximity to Melbourne's CBD as well as its adjacency to an array of boutique restaurants and shops in the heart of what is fast becoming one of the city's trendiest suburbs”, says Dayman.

"North Melbourne showcases iconic heritage elements unique to the identity of Melbourne, and this is something that purchasers love about the location. The larger and higher priced residences in 88 Leveson have been the first to sell which is a rare feat for luxury off the-plan developments."

Downsizer purchasers Ann and Wayne were initially attracted to the convenience, meticulous design, and location of 88 Leveson and were looking to move from their current home in Camberwell to a more fresh, upcoming cultural hotspot closer to the CBD.

“We love the look of the building, its materials and design. The size of the development, its proximity to the CBD, local parklands and transport made it ideal for our next move.”

“This was less a downsizing decision and more of one about lifestyle and location – from a very quiet suburban setting to more active engagement within the community. 88 Leveson, with its design, floorplans and roof terrace gave us all the things we were looking for in a new home.”

Located in the heart of North Melbourne, 88 Leveson is located two kilometres from the Melbourne CBD and within walking distance to universities, hospitals and the Queen Victoria Market.

“Burbank Urban is a proven performer in the residential sector, having delivered a number of innovative projects across their portfolio. Their consistent delivery of quality products offers purchasers confidence in the offering that 88 Leveson presents,” Bovell concluded.
