Built by Canny Builders with resort style living in mind, the four year old award winning Canterbury contemporary residence of Lynette and Alan Knights was sold post-auction on Saturday afternoon.

The vendors were seeking $3 million plus for the 1 Dryden Street offering listed through Kay & Burton agent Scott Patterson in conjunction with Jellis Craig agent Paul Williamson.

James Buyer Advocates reported auction bidding began with a $3 million vendor bid. With three in the race, bidding got to $3.25 million when the agents went inside to seek instructions from their vendor.

A subsequent fresh bidder offered $10,000 helping the bidding along until the property was passed in at $3.3 million.

It was bought soon after auction for an undisclosed higher amount. Alan Knights recently retired from the position of chief financial officer with silver mining company Cobar Consolidated Resources.
