Fitness First find Melbourne home for flagship and largest CBD tenancy

The Melbourne CBD is set to be the home of Fitness First's flagship gym and largest CBD tenancy after the national health club signed a 10 year lease in the Riverview House building.

The lease, at 276 Flinders Street, covers two floors over 3,420 square metres and was struck at about $500 a square metre per annum net.

Savills Victorian retail director Michael Di Carlo and colleague Jeremy Marmur brokered the deal.

Mr Di Carlo said the lessor, Fivex, had recently completed a makeover of the building which had facilitated the leasing of the ground, first, second, third and fourth floors to retail uses including Daiso and Goodstart Early Learning. The basement, ground and podium levels now constitute a new vertical retail destination in one of the highest pedestrian traffic flow areas in Australia, he said.
