The long Glenn Murcutt-designed Fredericks/White House in Jamberoo listed

Jamberoo House, the award-winning Glenn Murcutt- designed residence on 1.5 hectare at Saddleback Mountain, has been listed for sale.

The 1982 residence has been listed by Woollahra's White family who bought it for $700,000 through estate agent Drew Lindsay, in conjunction with agent Martin Schiller in 1996. 

The house consists of two consecutive parallel pavillions - a winter living space focused around an original farmhouse fireplace and a summer living area.

The timber-framed house designed by world-renowned architect Glenn Murcutt won a Merit Award for outstanding architecture from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and is recognised as one of the finest of Murcutt's long houses.

The architectural plans for its 2003 renovations are filed at the State Library of NSW. The plans were published by Habitus.

It was initially set on 82 hectares with four separate titles.

It was sold on its 1.5 hectare holding to the late hotelier and occasional developer, Ron White and his horticulturalist wife, Robyn.

Vivienne Marris of Elders Jamberoo Sally Hampshire at Laing+Simmons Double Bay who hold $2.8 million plus expectations.
