A trophy home equipped with helicopter pad in Tasmania is on the market for $2.5 million.

Located on the edge of The Tarkine, the largest temperate rain forest in the Southern hemisphere, the luxury lodge has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The deal includes 40 hectares, three dams and two cabins, with DA approval for a further 26 cabins.

The award winning Eco lodge has solar power and its own fresh rain water tanks.

Never traded before, the property had been on the market for just three days in late 2014 before being pulled.

The asking price on that occasion was $2.95 million.

It re-listed just two months later for nearly half a million less and has been on the market ever since.

Betty Kay and Rebecca Bower of Betty Kay Realty have the listing of 310 Newhaven Track, Meunna.
