The award winning Peregian Beach home of professional surfer Julian Wilson has gone under contract.

The luxury Pelican Street home had around $4 million hopes when listed late last month.

Wilson paid $3,325,000 for the Tim Ditchfield-designed home with external zinc cladding and concrete and timber features in 2015.

In 2009 it was awarded House of the Year and received a Regional Commendation by the Australian Institute of Architects.

Crafted with a split-level floorplan, the home has walls of glass which look out to the ocean.

An outdoor entertainers terrace with built in barbecue overlooks the infinity-edge swimming pool and spa.

There are four bedrooms, a home office and a media room.

Wilson, a Coolum Beach native, was ranked number three on the World Surf League Championship Tour last year.

He was famous for swimming toward surf legend Mick Fanning when he was attacked by a shark in South Africa.
