A retreat-style, Wyong Creek property owned by a former Real Living magazine writer has sold for $815,000.

It was listed by Shaun Coffey and Scott Wall from Capital One Real Estate.

Treetops Retreat, at 1282 Yarramalong Road, was sold by writer and stylist Natalie Walton and her husband Daniel Rowllston.

The couple moved to the Central Coast for a treechange from Sydney two years ago, running their homewares company Imprint House from the property.

Once featured in Australian House & Garden, it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a treehouse.

Amid access to walking trails and creek access in the wooded hills of the Yarramalong Valley, the cabin style cedar home features terraced gardens, three dams and an artist's studio.

Set on 26 acres of bushland the house is set back from the road by 150 metres.

Rented out occasionally on AirBnb, the property is described online as “perfect for yoga, meditation and ‘shinrin-yoku’ forest bathing, too … you might even see a platypus.”

It is only 20 mintues to Westfield, 30 minutes to the beach, and 45 minutes to Wahroonga.
